Mut (Maut) was the mother goddess, the queen of the gods at Waset (Thebes),
arising in power with the god Amen. She came to represent the Eye of Ra, the ferocious goddess of retribution and daughter
of the sun god Ra. Originally a local goddess, probably from the delta area, she became a national goddess during the New
Kingdom and was adored at one of the most popular festivals at the time - the Festival of Mut.
She was either depicted
as a woman, sometimes with wings, or a vulture, usually wearing the crowns of royalty - she was often shown wearing the double
crown of Egypt or the vulture headdress of the New Kingdom queens. Later she was shown as woman with the head of a lioness,
as a cow or as a cobra as she took on the attributes of the other Egyptian goddesses. The ancient Egyptian link between vultures
and motherhood lead to her name being the ancient Egyptian word for mother - mwt
In Southern Africa, the name for
an Egyptian vulture is synonymous with the term applied to lovers, for vultures like pigeons are always seen in pairs. Thus
mother and child remain closely bonded together. Pairing, bonding, protecting, loving are essential attributes associated
with a vulture. Because of its immense size and power and its ability to sore high up in the sky, the vulture is considered
to be nearer to God who is believed to reside above the sky. Thus the qualities of a vulture are associated with Godliness.
On the other hand the wide wingspan of a vulture may be seen as all encompassing and providing a protective cover to its infants.
The vulture when carrying out its role as a mother and giving protection to its infants may exhibit a forceful nature whilst
defending her young. All these qualities inspired the imagination of the Ancient Egyptians. They adopted what seemed to them
at the time to be motherly qualities, the qualities of protecting and nurturing their young.

Mut took over the position of the original wife
of Amen - Amaunet, the invisible goddess - during the Middle Kingdom and rose to power when the New Kingdom rulers took up
the worship of Amen. The pharaohs moved to Waset, making it their capital, and so the worship of the local Waset gods spread
throughout the land. As Amen became the god of the pharaohs, Mut became their symbolic mother and was identified with the
queens. Their adopted son was Khonsu, the moon god, and the three were worshiped as a triad at Waset and at the Temple of
Amen at Ipet-Resyt (Luxor). Originally their adopted son was Montu, the god of war, but he was dropped in favor of the moon
god, possibly because the shape of Mut's sacred lake was in the shape of a crescent moon.
During the Festival of Mut
in Waset, a statue of the goddess was placed on a boat and sailed around the small crescent shaped sacred lake at her temple
at Ipet-Isut (Karnak). In a yearly matrimonial ceremony during the New Year festival, Amen traveled from
his temple at Ipet-Resyt down to Ipet-Isut to visit her. Originally this was for the fertility goddess Ipet (Taweret), as
a way of ensuring fertility for the coming year.

There was also
a composite deity called "Mut-Isis-Nekhbet, the Great Mother and Lady" who was shown as a winged goddess
with leonine feet, an erect penis and three heads - a lion head wearing Min's headdress, a woman's head wearing the double
crown of Egypt and a vulture's head wearing the red crown of Lower Egypt.
In The Book of the Dead, a
spell was spoken over a statue of her. The statue had her with three heads - one of the heads was that of a lioness
wearing a headdress of two tall plumes, a human head wearing the double crown, and the third being the head of a vulture,
again wearing the headdress of two plumes - as well as wings, an erect penis and the paws of a lion. This spell was to protect
the dead from being disturbed, and it linked her to Bast, Sekhmet and the sun. In this form she was called both Mut, but addressed
as Sekhmet-Bast-Ra.
When she started to take over the positions of other goddesses, her name was linked to the older
goddess' - such as Mut-Temt, Mut-Wadjet-Bast and Mut-Sekhmet-Bast-Menhit. She also started to take on the aspects and attributes
of Isis, such as Mut's form of Mut-Isis-Nekhbet. She seems to have also taken the attributes of even the sky goddess Nut,
mother of the five deities - Osiris, Horus the Elder, Set, Isis and Nephthys.
I have given unto thee the sovereignty
of the father Geb, and the goddess Mut, thy mother, who gave birth to the gods, brought thee forth as the first-born
of five gods, and created thy beauties and fashioned thy members.

When Amen
was assimilated with Ra, becoming Amen-Ra, Mut took on the title the Eye of Ra, a form associated with Hathor and Sekhmet,
among others. The Eye was usually shown as a lioness, representing the fierce heat of the sun, and so Mut was given the form
of a lion headed woman. She was then thought to be the daughter of Ra, yet she was also "Mother of the Sun in Whom He Rises"
- she was thought to be the mother of mothers, and thus could be both the mother and daughter of the sun god.

The 'Mistress of Isheru' (the sacred lake around her temple) had a large temple mostly built
by Amenhotep III. The earliest parts of the temple, though, were built by pharaohs Hatshepsut and Thothmose III. Later rulers
such as Rameses II, Rameses III and King Taharqa of the Kushite 25th Dynasty added to the Mut Precinct, expanding the precinct
and rebuilding the temple. (Rameses II's wife, Nefertari, was called Nefertari Merytnmut - 'Nefertari, Beloved
of Mut' MUT TURNED INTO NEFERTARI.) The temple of Mut continued to prosper during
the Ptolemaic period, right through to the conquest of Egypt by Rome in about 30 BC. By the late Roman period, the temple
of Mut was no longer in use, and started to fall into disrepair.
The temple, Hut-Mut hwt-mwt , was situated to the
south of the great temple of Amen-Ra, with an avenue of sphinxes approaching her temple. She was worshiped there as "Mut, the Great Lady of Isheru, the Lady of Heaven, the Queen of the Gods". Mut was believed to have existed
since primeval times, existing along side Nun, the primeval waters. This was probably due to her replacement of Amaunet, one
of the primeval Ogdoad - the great eight - who lived in the waters. In her temple she was depicted in the form black basalt
statues, showing Mut as the Eye of Ra, Sekhmet.
The precinct of Mut lies about 100 yards south of the precinct of
Amen to which it is oriented, and covers an area of about twenty acres. The focal point of the complex is the temple of Mut
itself, surrounded on three sides by a lake called the Isheru, a term used to describe sacred lakes specific to precincts
of goddesses who can be leonine in form. The Mut Precinct's Isheru, fed probably by an underground spring, is the largest
in Egypt that is preserved.
... The Mut expedition also uncovered a gate in an early western enclosure wall that bares
traces of a possible graffito of Senmut, an important official under Hatshepsut, and the cartouches of Thothmose III (perhaps
replacing Hatshepsut's cartouche), an Amarna period effacement of the name of Amen, and an inscription by Seti I recording
the restoration of the gate.
Despite the evidence of early 18th Dynasty activity at the site, many publications continue
to identify the Mut temple as a work of Amenhotep III, primarily because of the many statues of the goddess Sekhmet found
at the site that bear his name. However, it is now thought that the Sekhmet statues bearing the king's name were originally
erected in his funerary temple on the west bank of the Nile. They were probably brought to the Mut Precinct during 19th Dynasty
when Mut and Sekhmet became more closely associated and rituals involving both with the Isheru first appear to have gained
prominence.

She was also worshiped in Djannet
(Tanis), Zau (Sau, Sai, Sais), the Oases of Kharga and Dakhla. Her followers believed her as the great mother,
the one who created and brought forth everything that existed. This was probably why she was sometimes depicted with
male parts - she was not just one who gave birth to life, she was one who conceived life itself. She was
"Mut, Who Giveth Birth, But Was Herself Not Born of Any". Another reason why Mut may have been seen as
being able to have conceived by herself was the ancient Egyptian believe that there were no male griffon vultures (the vulture
of the Egyptian goddesses and royalty). (This vulture (Gyps fulvus) has no significant markings between
the female and the male of the species.) They believed that this bird conceived with the wind.
The
great mother goddess of the New Kingdom, Mut replaced or assimilated many of the Egyptian goddesses. She became
a great, all-in-one goddess of the capital city, and her popularity spread. Although possibly a local goddess from
the delta, she was married to Amen, replacing his original wife. She came to represent the mother of the pharaoh, the royal
crown being her symbol, and firmly established her place with the rulers of Thebes. From there, she became one of Egypt's
great goddesses, worshiped through the land from the New Kingdom well into Roman times. Both male and female, her followers
believed her to be the one who created and gave birth to all.

Europa and the Sea Bull: The Missing Link
Between Phoenicia and France

By now, most readers should be familiar with the story of the Quinotaur, the mythical sea beast (part-bull, part-fish)
that sired the race of Merovingian kings. But what has heretofore served as the beginning of the Merovingian
saga is only part of the story. For the first part of the drama, we must go back to the ancient sea peoples of Phoenicia.
One of the strange legends of the Phoenicians involves the disappearance of Europa, the daughter of Canaan
1, the son of Poseidon. In some versions of the story, Europa was a princess, in others, the daughter of a god. She was said
to be exceedingly beautiful, and her father's favorite. One day a servant came into the palace and told Europa that a beautiful
white bull had appeared mysteriously on the beach. Intrigued, Europa went down to see the unusual creature. The bull, we are
told, was indeed very beautiful, and seemingly very tame and playful. Europa wrapped garlands of flowers around its horns,
and frolicked beside it. Encouraged by the creature's gentleness, she climbed atop it, and it ran about the beach to her utter
delight. Then, unexpectedly, the creature turned and ran toward the ocean. The servant ran after the two, but it was no use.
The bull had run into the waves and had begun to swim out to sea. Europa's handmaiden could only watch in helpless horror
as the vision of the princess disappeared off into the distance.
This same story is told by the Greeks, the only exception
being that the figure of Canaan is replaced by Aegeanor (from whose name we derive the Aegean Sea.) Perhaps the oddest aspect
of this unusual story is that historical chroniclers deny that its purely mythological. Herodotus says that the story of Europa
was based on a real incident, and that she was in fact an historical personage. Though such a claim is certainly bizarre,
it seems no less bizarre than the fact that the continent of Europe should have taken its name from the central figure in
such a story. Why name a continent after a girl associated with the notion of being taken away by a sea bull? It only starts
to make sense when one considers the story of Europa in conjunction with the story of the Quinotaur. The tale that begins
with the kidnapping of Europa is finished by the myth of the Quinotaur, who sires a race of sacred kings. For the Greeks (and
many scholars), the sea bull of the Europa saga is seen as Zeus, the god traditionally associated with (or personified as)
a bull. But bulls were also associated with many of the gods and kings of Phoenicia and Sumeria. In fact, the figure of the
sea bull can be traced directly to the figure of Dagon, discussed elsewhere in this issue. An alternate name of Zeus was Dyaus,
and an alternate name for Dagon was Daonos. So it would seem that Zeus and Dagon were different labels, applied by different
cultures in different times to essentially the same figure. This of course is a very common process, and one that is encountered
repeatedly in even the most superficial comparisons of one mythology to another. The kings of the most ancient cultures in
time become their gods, and repeatedly the gods of dominant cultures become the gods of less dominant ones. So it is that
the sea bull of Europa is one in the same as the Quinotaur of the Merovingian kings, and as the Quinotaur was the legendary
father of European monarchs, the mother was Europa, after whom they named their continent.
This depiction
of a "Quinotaur" was drawn by Sir Francis Dashwood, notorious founder of the Hellfire Club, and co-conspirator
of Arch-Mason, Ben Franklin. It is believed to have been drawn on Dashwood's first trip to Italy, and based on a statue from
the palace of Nero.

Sources differ in details regarding her family but
agree that she is Phoenician, and from a lineage that descended from Io, the mythical nymph beloved of Zeus, who was transformed
into a heifer. She is said to be the daughter of the Phoenician King Agenor and Queen Telephassa ("far-shining") or of Argiope
("white-faced")[3]. Other sources, such as the Iliad, claim that she is the daughter of Agenor's son, the "sun-red" Phoenix.
It is generally agreed that she had two brothers, Cadmus, who brought the alphabet to mainland Greece, and Cilix who gave
his name to Cilicia in Asia Minor, with Apollodorus including Phoenix as a third. After arriving in Crete, Europa had three
sons: Minos, Rhadamanthus, and Sarpedon. She married Asterion also rendered Asterius. According to mythology, her children
were fathered by Zeus.
There were two competing myths[4] relating how Europa came into the Hellenic world, but they
agreed that she came to Crete, where the sacred bull was paramount. In the more familiar telling she was seduced by the god
Zeus in the form of a bull and carried away to Crete on his back— to be welcomed by Asterion [5], but according to a
more literal, euhemerist version in Herodotus, she was kidnapped by Minoans, who likewise were said to have taken her to Crete.
The mythical Europa cannot be separated from the mythology of the sacred bull, which had been worshipped in the Levant.

"The
Rape of Europa"
According to legend, Zeus was enamored of her and decided to seduce or rape her, the two being
near-equivalent in Greek myth. He transformed himself into a white bull and mixed in with her father's herds. While Europa
and her female attendants were gathering flowers, she saw the bull and caressed his flanks and eventually got onto its back.
Zeus took that chance and ran to the sea and swam, with her on his back, to the island of Crete. He then revealed his true
identity, and Europa became the first queen of Crete. Zeus gave her three gifts: Talos, Laelaps and a javelin that never missed.
Zeus later re-created the shape of the white bull in the stars which is now known as the constellation Taurus. Some readers
interpret as manifestations of this same bull the Cretan beast that was encountered by Hercules, the Marathonian Bull slain
by Theseus (and that fathered the Minotaur). Also known as "The Abduction of Europa" and "The Seduction
of Europa," Roman mythology adopted the tale, substituting the god Jupiter for Zeus.
It is tempting to see in this
story the remnants of oral history about the settlement of the island. Cretans were of course great sailors, as all islanders
must be, and must have come from some mainland area by raft or ship. They must also have brought their cattle and other livestock
with them, since bulls figured prominently in their sports, arts and religious imagery. In the mythological transformation
of history, however, roles are reversed, and the bull provides the transportation for the founding mother of the Minoan people.
Europa in literature
Herodotus
According to Herodotus, Europa was kidnapped by Minoans who were seeking
to avenge the kidnapping of Io, a princess from Argos. His variant story may have been an attempt to rationalize the earlier
myth; or the present myth may be a garbled version of facts — the rape of a Phoenician aristocrat — later enunciated
without gloss by Herodotus.

Europa
Europa ("yoo ROH puh") is the sixth of Jupiter's known satellites and the fourth largest; it is the second of the Galilean moons. Europa is slightly smaller than the Earth's Moon. orbit: 670,900 km from Jupiter

Europa was a Phoenician princess abducted to Crete by Zeus, who had assumed the form of a white bull,
and by him the mother of Minos.
 Discovered by Galileo and Marius in 1610.
Europa and Io are somewhat similar in bulk composition to the terrestrial planets: primarily composed of silicate rock. Unlike Io, however, Europa has a thin outer layer of ice. Recent data from Galileo indicate that Europa has a layered internal structure perhaps with a small metallic core.
But Europa's surface is not at all like anything in the inner solar system. It is exceedingly
smooth: few features more than a few hundred meters high have been seen. The prominent markings seem to be only albedo features with very low relief.
 There are very few craters on Europa; only three craters larger than 5 km in diameter have been
found. This would seem to indicate a young and active surface. However, the Voyagers mapped only a fraction of the surface at high resolution. The precise age of Europa's surface is an open question.
The images of Europa's surface strongly resemble images of sea ice on Earth. It is possible
that beneath Europa's surface ice there is a layer of liquid water, perhaps as much as 50 km deep, kept liquid by tidally
generated heat. If so, it would be the only place in the solar system besides Earth where liquid water exists in significant
quantities.
 Europa's most striking aspect is a series of dark streaks crisscrossing the entire globe. The
larger ones are roughly 20 km across with diffuse outer edges and a central band of lighter material. The latest theory of
their origin is that they are produced by a series of volcanic eruptions or geysers.
Recent observations with HST reveal that Europa has a very tenuous atmosphere (1e-11 bar) composed of oxygen. Of the many
moons in the solar system only five others (Io, Ganymede, Callisto, Titan and Triton) are known to have atmospheres. Unlike the oxygen in Earth's atmosphere, Europa's is almost certainly not of biologic origin. It is most likely generated
by sunlight and charged particles hitting Europa's icy surface producing water vapor which is subsequently split into hydrogen
and oxygen. The hydrogen escapes leaving the oxygen.
  The Voyagers didn't get a very good look at Europa. But it is a principal focus of the Galileo mission. Images from Galileo's first two close encounters with Europa seem to confirm earlier theories that Europa's
surface is very young: very few craters are seen, some sort of activity is obviously occurring. There are regions that look very much like pack-ice on polar seas during spring thaws on Earth. The exact nature
of Europa's surface and interior is not yet clear but the evidence is now strong for a subsurface 'ocean'.
Galileo has found that Europa has a weak magnetic field (perhaps 1/4 of the strength of Ganymede's).
And most interestingly, it varies periodically as it passes thru Jupiter's massive magnetic field. This is very strong evidence that there is
a conducting material beneath Europa's surface, most likely a salty ocean.

- How thick is the surface ice? Is there liquid water below? The proposed Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter spacecraft might find out.
- What are the surface streaks? How were they formed?
- Why is the surface so smooth?
- Is Europa being heated by tidal friction like Io? How much? Is there any volcanism, perhaps
hidden beneath the ice?
- The possible presence of liquid water and volcanism on Europa puts it on my list of possible life-bearing bodies, though, of course, the probability is very low.

Ezra's Tomb
Ezra’s tomb is located on the
west bank of the Tigris River at Al Azair (Al Uzayr), some 60 miles north of Basra,
in what was the northeastern corner of the Central Marsh. It has long been a revered site, having been
visited as long ago as the twelfth century by Benjamin of Tudela, Pethahiah of Regensburg and the poet, Yehuda Al-Harizi.
It was described by Pethahiah as a tomb with a synagogue on one side and a mosque on the
other.
According to Al-Harizi, a local shepherd had a dream that
a holy person was buried nearby. After the dream recurred several times,
he told his friends about it. To prove the veracity of his account, he showed them he could see again with an eye that
had been blinded. On digging at the place in the dream, an iron coffin was found with unknown characters
inscribed on it. There were interpreted by a Hebrew scribe to read, “Ezra, the
Priest.” So they ferried the remains across the river and re-interred them at
Al Azair where, ever since according to Al-Harizi, a light has shined over
them at night.
Ezra, a lineal descendant of Aaron, was a Hebrew high priest of the fifth century BCE.
He was also a scribe and a scholar and is sometimes credited with writing the Biblical books
of Ezra and Nehemiah as well as a part of Chronicles. Tradition has it that he collected and edited the Old Testament
canon, putting it into modern form.
Like King Josiah (639-608 BCE), Ezra was deeply involved in reforming Judaism. He was a leader of the second group of Jews who returned from Babylonian exile in 459 BCE.
When they reached Jerusalem, Ezra was appalled at what he saw and set about reconstituting the religion.
With the Age of Prophecy drawing to a close, he established the supremacy of Torah
and in particular the Oral Law to make Judaism a religion in which the law was central. He also
adopted the square Assyrian script which is still in use today. With some justice, Ezra has been called the father of Judaism since his efforts did much to give Jewish religion a lasting form.
Not much is
known of the life of Ezra. The Bible records that, in 445 BCE, he appeared at the dedication of
the reconstructed walls of Jerusalem and read the law aloud to the people. There’s no record
after that. Josephus wrote that he was buried in Jerusalem but both the time and place of his death are unknown.

In the beginning, before men were created, the Anunnaki €“ the gods
living on the earth €“ had to till the land and water it to grow their food. They found the work tiresome and
too much trouble.
So they gave Enlil lordship of the earth. He summoned the Igigi, calling down from heaven the lesser
gods, lower divinities without names, to do the work.
Besides tilling the soil, Enlil assigned to the Igigi the additional
tasks of digging canals, river beds and keeping their channels clear. For thousands of years, the Igigi toiled for the Anunnaki.
It was too much! They downed their tools and went as a group to the Ekur, Enlil™s citadel at Nippur, to demand relief.
When the Igigi arrived before Enlil€™s stronghold, he ordered his doorkeeper, Nusku, to bar the gate
to keep them out. But Nusku asked, €œWhy has your face become as pale as the tamarisk? Why do you fear your sons?
Call the other gods and let them help solve this thing.€
So Enlil summoned the others, including Anu from
heaven, and Enki, lord of the Abzu. Together, they stood on the ramparts of the Ekur and addressed the besiegers. Why do you
attack us?
The Igigi answered as one, €œThe work you have assigned us is killing; we can no longer bear
it. We have put a stop to digging and declared war.
Then Enki took the gods inside to counsel them. €œWhy
do we blame the Igigi? Their tasks are too hard.
Look, he continued,
the goddess Mami

and asked Mami to produce such creatures. But the Goddess of Midwifery demurred. It is not prudent for me to attempt
all this. Choose Enki instead, because he is wise and makes things right. If he will prepare clay suitable to
the task, I will birth it.
Enki responded, €œIf we use pure clay to make these new
creatures, they will be like the animals, without intelligence. To make them capable of bearing the yoke of Enlil, we must
slay one of the gods so his flesh and blood can be mixed with the clay to be made into a man. Then what we create will be
god and man mixed together.€
The gods seized Geshtu-e, a god of wisdom, and slaughtered him.

When his flesh and blood were taken and mixed with the clay,
a ghost came into being so that none should

Mami took the mixture and pinched off fourteen pieces, to create seven males and seven
females. She presented them to the Anunnaki, saying, €œI have done all you asked. You have slain a god
of intelligence and mixed his flesh and blood with clay so I could engender men. I relieve you of wearisome work by imposing
your yoke upon them. I have also bestowed upon them the ability to use the spoken word, so they may call to one another to
help fulfill their tasks. Let each man choose a woman to wive so Ishtar can bless them with healthy children, to fill the
earth with generations upon generations of servants.€
It was in this manner and for these reasons that man
was created.
Twelve hundred years went by and the people grew numerous. The land became filled with them and their
unceasing clamor. Enlil said, The noise men make has become too much; I am losing sleep. Let Namtar come up from the depths
of the Netherworld and distribute disease among them, so that their numbers and uproar may be reduced.
The Herald
of Death strewed sickness back and forth across the countryside and many died. A wise man in Shuruppak, by name of Atra-hasis,

Enki advised Atra-hasis, Call together the elders. Speak to them; tell them
to not worship their gods or take them offerings. Instead, let them build a house for Namtar in Shuruppak and let each household
bake a loaf of fresh bread and take it to his door.
The people listened and did as Enki advised. Namtar's house was
filled with fresh bread and surrounded with its pleasant aroma. The Herald of Death was shamed by the multitude of offerings.
He drew back his hand so that disease abated. The people regained their health and the land returned to prosperity.
Another
twelve hundred years passed and the people again became numerous. The Earth grew crowded and filled with a terrific din. Enlil
said, Once more, the noise made by men is causing me to lose sleep.
Let™s cut off their food. Let my son, Ninurta, shut the sluice
gates of heaven so that drought comes. Let crops fail and the people perish.
When drought had held the land in its
grip for six years and the people had become famished, Atra-hasis again went to Enki for help. Call together the elders,€
the god said. €œTell them not to worship their gods or make offerings to them. Instead, build a house for Ninurta.
Then let each household take of what flour they have and bake a loaf of fresh bread to take to his door.
Again, the
people followed Enki€™s advice. Ninurta™s house was filled with fresh bread and surrounded by its pleasant
aroma. The young god knew bread was scarce and, though he was Enlil™s son, he was greatly shamed by the precious offerings
given him by starving men, so he opened the clouds and let the rain fall. But nothing grew, for the land turned bitter and
became encrusted with salt.
In the seventh year, when people began to eat their young, Atra-hasis went to Enki again.
We have no more flour to make bread. It rains, but the land no longer grows our crops. Will this scourge never end?
Call
together the elders. Tell them to not worship their gods, nor make them offerings nor say prayers nor sing them songs of praise.
Let the earth be as it was in the beginning; before men existed, when the gods struggled to grow their own food. Let the gods
pick up their tools again and go back to tilling the land, without offerings or praise. Let them suffer.
It was too
much for the gods. Faint with hunger, they yearned to hear prayerful supplications and listen to sweet songs of praise. They
relented and allowed Enki to cleanse the earth with sweet water drawn from the depths of the Abzu. With his pure water, he
washed away the salt and made the land fertile again.
But, in another twelve hundred years, what had happened before
occurred again. The people grew more numerous than ever and earth was filled with their shouting and curses. Enlil said, €œI
cannot sleep because of the bellowing of men, but I cannot bring them under control because of my brother, Enki. He protects
them. Because he created them, they are his children. I will see him about this.€
So Enlil went to Enki and
said, €œYou persuaded us to kill a god and used your power to create men. You imposed our yoke upon them but you
also had Mami gift them with the spoken word. What you did was wrong, for men use their power to shout and curse and argue
with each other. Now, you must swear an oath to correct the wrong you have caused. You must use your power against your creation
and create a Flood to rid the earth of men.
Enki replied, Why should I swear an oath? And why should I use my power
against my people? The Flood you mentioned, how do I have the power to give birth to such a thing? That€™s work
for you, Enlil, and your son, Ninurta. If you wish a Flood, then tell Ninurta to let it rain till the dams overflow and drown
the land.
Enlil was furious with Enki. €œThen, I shall see it done myself; I will see that the Flood covers
the earth. But, brother, you and all the Anunnaki, must promise not to try to obstruct what I am about to undertake; you must
not warn men of my plan.
With the other Anunnaki, Enki took an oath that he would not tell Enlil™s plan to any
human.
That night, Enki went out and sat beside the reed wall of Atra-hasis€™s house. He spoke aloud,
saying, €œWall, listen to me! Reed hut, make sure you hear my words! Take this house apart and build a boat. Leave
your worldly possessions behind and take aboard living things. Build the boat two stories high and pitch it with bitumen to
make it strong and waterproof. For a flood will come that will last seven days and seven nights and the land will be under
water.
Now, as Enki spoke, Atra-hasis was inside his house and overheard everything the god said. The next day he
hired carpenters and reed workers to tear down his house and build the boat the god described. The workmen ate and drank as
they worked but Atra-hasis kept his distance, for his heart was breaking over those he knew would soon be drowned and he was
vomiting bile.
The day arrived when Ninurta
bellowed from the clouds and the face of the weather changed. The
winds came and Atra-hasis hurried his family and animals inside the boat. Then he cut the mooring rope and had bitumen handed
up to seal the door.
The sky turned dark so no one could see anyone else. The flood roared toward them like a bull
and, like a wild ass, the winds screamed overhead. There was no sun and darkness hid the land. Ninurta opened the clouds and
water poured over the land. The goddess Mami watched the storm from above and wept for her people. €œWhat father
would have given birth to a raging sea?€ she asked Enlil. The other gods and goddesses wept with Mami.
After
the seventh night, Enlil ordered his son to stop the rain. As the waters receded, corpses were left strewn about like drowned
dragonflies.
But, then, a sweet aroma from an offering went up and attracted the gods. They hovered overhead to catch
the fragrance and Enlil spotted Atra-hasis and his boat. €œHow could anyone have survived the catastrophe?€
he asked. €œNo form of life should have escaped. Who, but Enki, would have done this? My brother has broken his
oath!€
Enki heard Enlil and answered, €œAtra-hasis must have overheard me when worry caused me
to talk aloud to myself. I did this in defiance of you, Enlil, to make sure life was preserved. But I never told him; I did
not break my oath.€
€œMen multiply continually,€ Enlil said. €œAgain and again
they crowd the earth and fill it with noise. I seek only to stop them so I€™ll have peace. Why do you continue
to defy me?€
€œBecause, brother, if you destroyed men to rid the earth of noise, who would be
left to grow our food? It would be as it was in the beginning.€
Enlil perceived the wisdom in Enki€™s
answer and he was shamed. €œThen, what is to be done?€ he asked. €œIf nothing is changed,
in another twelve hundred years, there will be too many people again.€
Enki said, €œTo prevent
that from ever happening again, let the gods decree that a third of the women shall be barren and another third shall be unsuccessful
in childbirth. In addition, let the women in the temples be made taboo, so they too will not bear children. By decreeing this,
the gods will continue to have men for their servants but there will never be too many again, and the gods and men will live
together evermore at peace.€
Enlil rejoiced at hearing his brother€™s resolution and praised
him for his astuteness.

Preface of the book President Kennedy's assassination was the most traumatic
event the United States of America ever experienced. It also was the most dangerous one not only for world peace but for the
continuation of life on this planet. Had the circumstances and the background of this horrible deed been disclosed to the
public a nuclear war would have been the very probable consequence.President Kennedy averted a nuclear war when he decided
not to invade Cuba. His death very easily could have provoked the situation he had worked so hard to avoid. Others had to
make sure this would not happen. These others remained silent for all these years. The secret was kept and this ensured that
there was no nuclear confrontation between the superpowers of that time.Times have changed dramatically. The Soviet Union
is no more. Russia has become an affiliated member of Nato. The threat of a nuclear confrontation between two great nations
has been diffused. Yet the secret of the circumstances of President Kennedy's death still have not been revealed.Three men
were confronted with the most horrendous scenario any high government official could ever imagine: a conspiracy to kill the
President and what to do about it. Edgar J. Hoover discovered the plot; Lyndon B Johnson had to make the ultimate decision,
and Robert Kennedy had carry out the decisions made.

These three men had the courage and the wisdom to make the right decision. They had the will and the strength
of character to follow through. They succeeded where success was the only option if life was to continue But not all's well
when success exacts a high price. The three men paid a very high price of their own for this success. The decision to participate

men this was the beginning of a nightmare, which would haunt them for the rest of their lives. Even in theirlives after life

Good Evening I am the spiritual entity of Robert Kennedy, also known as BobbySeveral days ago you had a communication
with the spiritual entity of Lyndon B. Johnson. At long last he was able to talk about the traumatic events of his presidency

war. He saw terrible death and he saw the unspeakable suffering of the survivors who were off worse yet.Jack made me Attorney
General, a most influential post in his administration. But I was much more to him; I was his most trusted adviser and he
needed sound advice more than often and in practically every respect. From early childhood on we both complemented each other
exceptionally well. He was the dashing lead man; I was the cautious second man who made sure that the lead man's lead would
be backed by sound and thorough action. Jack knew that and relied heavily on my advice and support.Jack's ascend to power
was not easy. Being a New Englander and a Catholic was a big handicap. He overcame that with the help of a very unlikely alliance
with the foremost entertainer of that time, Frank Sinatra. Frank and Jack got to be close friends. Frank just loved the company
of this most promising politician from one of the richest and most influential families of the country. Jack took advantage
of Frank's connections in show business and with the mob. They both were ladies' men and they had many pleasurable moments
together.

With Frank's
help Jack got the crucial support of the mob controlled labor unions and won the primaries. Then he teamed up with Lyndon
B. Johnson, the man who was supposed to bring the crucial Southern votes, which he did. It was a very close victory but that
did not matter. What mattered was the fact that the right man was President of the United States at the time when it mattered.Nixon
was a formidable opponent but he could not succeed against a force stronger than anyone else in the universe: God the Almighty.
These elections had to bring Jack into the White House because with Jack as President the Cuban Missile Crises could be resolved
without war, a nuclear war at that. In the Republican Party the hawks were so powerful that a military conflict with Cuba
and, thereby, with the Soviet Union could not have been avoided. Only after we changed over in our lives after life we got
to know how strongly God the Almighty had been involved in the outcome of the elections and in the events of the Cuban Missile
Crises. Jack managed to end the Cuban Missile Crises without a military confrontation with the Soviet Union. With this he
a voided a nuclear war and possibly the extinction of mankind. But he was to pay a very high price for that because Chroushchov,
then First Secretary of the Communist Party and leader of the Soviet Union, felt deeply humiliated. He vowed revenge and nothing

Destiny makes strange bedfellows. The Performer Frank Sinatra, the President Jack Kennedy and the mobster Sam

The big event for my political sideshow was the election of John F. Kennedy as President of the United States
of America. He was the one predestined to guarantee the continuation of life on this planet.The presidential race was preceded
by the race for the nomination by the Democratic Party. Kennedy did not have a good start. Being a Catholic and a New Englander
was a towering handicap. It was one thing to run for a senate seat in Massachusetts; it was something totally different to
seek the nomination of the Democratic Party for the race for President of the United States. Regional, racial and religious
prejudices were strongly opposed against a rich Playboy from New England.I first heard Jack Kennedy giving a speech in 1956.
I was more than impressed. I was overwhelmed by emotions of admiration and instant friendship towards this young promising
politician. Then I thought he was this good. Now I know that already then I was influenced telepathically in favor of John
F. Kennedy who would need my help to become elected President of the United States.The forces of destiny had planned my carriers
as performer and political supporter of John F. Kennedy in a most effective way. I spent my childhood in an Italian neighborhood
that spawned some of the most important gangsters in this country. I grew up with them and lifelong friendships and loyalties

the shrewdest politician the American political scene had seen in a long time. An ambitious, hard-working man, firmly entrenched
in the Washington political establishment; he was a formidable opponent Nixon’s victory was practically certain. I was
obsessed with the idea to have Jack Kennedy as the next President of the United States of America. Jack and I had become friends,
good friends I thought. We had good times together and his wife Jackie did not like how good they were. It hurt my Ego and
my sincere feelings of friendship towards Jack Kennedy that I was banned from his personal circle of family and friends. But
Jackie Bouvier was a force to reckon with and even Jack Kennedy would not dare to challenge her in matters she considered
important.The race for the Presidency of the United States of America was very tough. Nixon’s nickname “Tricky
Dick” told the story. Nonetheless, Nixon made some crucial mistakes I then did not understand. How could a man as intelligent
as Nixon give such a poor performance during the debates? Instead of attacking Jack Kennedy all the way, Nixon was trying
to give a civilized performance, which was definitely not his forte. How could Nixon alienate some of his most important supporters
with one-sided political

How could a seasoned politician of Nixon’s caliber run a race I considered quite weak? – Now I know that Nixon
and his advisers were subjected to telepathic inspirations that worked very much against his campaign.I worked very hard to
give Jack Kennedy’s campaign the added momentum it needed. I promoted his cause with my gangster friends, giving them
hopes that a man would be in the White House lenient towards their cause because of the bootlegger background of his family
and also because of the support they gave him during the campaign. - The unions endorsed Jack Kennedy and this gave him a
much-needed additional momentum with other groups representing poorer Americans whose turn out at the votes would be crucial
for the outcome of the elections. I worked hard performing at fundraisers and exacting contributions for Kennedy’s campaign
from the people I knew had money to spend. – The efforts paid off. Jack Kennedy was elected President of the United
States of America with the slimmest margin of votes but he was elected. I was happy and relieved. I did not quite understand
my feelings. Why did I take this so personal? There was no advantage I could have from this election other than having a friend
in the White House. –Now I know that I felt the emotions of the invisible forces who had guided me telepathically. They
knew about the immense significance the outcome of these elections had for the continued existence of mankind. I felt their
joy and relief.
